I guess you're using HTS-1.1.1.
Please try HTS-2.0RC2.


What is version of Linux, gcc and glibc that are you using?
Some of these programs have problems to compile with some versions of gcc and glibc. 
gcc4.1 has many problems to compile SPTK and HTK.
