Your error definitely seems to be due to your version of Snack.
I am running Snack 2.2, and don't have any such problem.

-progress

"s pitch -maxpitch $maxpitch -minpitch $minpitch -framelength $framelength"
But the problem is the same.
Which version of ActiveTcl did you install?
