I am pleased to make a preliminary announcement and call for participation for the Blizzard Challenge 2010. This is an open evaluation of corpus-based speech synthesis systems using common datasets and a large listening test.

For general discussion about the Blizzard Challenge, please use the Blizzard mailing list (instructions are provided in the full announcement). The timetable should be finalised within a couple of weeks, at which time we will make a final announcement and call for participation.
