[hts-users:02953] handling Chinese or Japanese characters in HTK toolkit

Hi, 

I'm wondering about the usage of some oriental languages in HTK..

Does HTK support Unicode characters such as Japanese or Chinese? 

Is there any simple way to do it?  

( For example, by setting 'NONUMESCAPES  = T' in a config file. )
