[hts-users:04267] Re: HTS error in making global variance

Hi Priyanka,

I've just had the same issue as you. It is caused by HSMMAlign being unable to reasonably align some of your training sentences.

You have two choices:

1. Throw away the offending sentences.

2. Create a new .scp list corresponding to the surviving GV files (use the .labs in the fal dir under gv/qst001/ver1/fal/ as the basis for this) and make sure to replace this in the correct places in the Training script (in the make_data_gv, make_full_fal and make_mspf methods).

Hope this helps!

*Making data, labels, and scp from text_00545.lab for GV...done*
*Making data, labels, and scp from text_00546.lab for GV...done*
*Making data, labels, and scp from text_00547.lab for GV...done*

*Making data, labels, and scp from text_00550.lab for GV...Cannot open No
such file or directory at scripts/Training.pl line 1214, <SCP> line 550.*

because gv file is not created for some files listed in train.scp:
I tried:
1. Increasing the beam width to 2000 500 20000 as there was warning
for* WARNING
[-9999] HSMMAlign: No tokens survived to final node of network at beam.*
2. I turned off pruning for re-estimation (HERest), didnt help

After this also warning for HSMMAlign still exists also the error in making
global varinace.
any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)
